Your pelvic health is vital to your overall well-being — but when something isn’t right, it can feel hard to talk about. At SANNI Physio & Wellness, we provide a private, supportive space to help you recover function, relieve pain, and regain confidence.
Whether you’re a new mother, an athlete, recovering after surgery, or struggling with long-term pelvic symptoms, our evidence-based pelvic physiotherapy can help.
Women’s Pelvic Health
What We Treat in Women
- Urinary incontinence, frequency, or urgency (stress or urge leakage)
- Pelvic organ prolapse or heaviness
- Pelvic pain (vulvodynia, vaginismus, dyspareunia, pudendal neuralgia)
- Postpartum recovery: diastasis recti, pelvic floor dysfunction, perineal or C-section scar pain
- Bowel issues: constipation, incomplete emptying, bowel urgency
Your First Visit
At your initial session, we start with a comprehensive discussion about your symptoms, medical history, and lifestyle. We then assess:
- Breathing patterns and posture
- Core muscle control and pelvic floor function
- If appropriate, and only with your consent, an internal vaginal pelvic floor exam may be offered. This provides the most accurate assessment of muscle tone, strength, and coordination.
If needed, we may also use a vaginal probe to help measure or stimulate pelvic floor activity. This is particularly useful for:
- Strengthening weak muscles after childbirth or surgery
- Relaxing overactive pelvic floor muscles in chronic pain conditions
- Providing real-time biofeedback to guide your training
Follow-Up Visits
Subsequent sessions build on your plan and may include:
- Core and pelvic floor exercises tailored to your needs
- Breathing retraining for abdominal–pelvic synergy
- Manual therapy, scar mobilization, or fascia release
- Education on bladder and bowel health, ergonomics, and daily activity
